TYPES OF TEAKWOOD STAINERS

1. Water-Based Teak Stain

• Fast drying

• Low odor

• Lighter, more even color

2. Oil-Based Teak Stain

• Deeper penetration

• Richer golden-brown tone

• Slower drying, better for heavy woods

3. Gel Teak Stain

• Thick consistency

• Reduces blotching

• Good for vertical surfaces or patchy woods

APPLICATION NOTES

Preparation

• Sand wood smoothly (180 220/320 grit)

• Clean dust and grease

Apply Stain

• Use cloth, sponge, or brush

• Spread evenly

• Wipe excess to avoid dark patches

• Add second coat for deeper color

Seal the Finish

Use a protective topcoat such as:

• NC Clear

• PU Clear

• Melamine

• Varnish

This protects the color and adds durability.
