1. Type / Chemistry

   • It appears to be a nitrocellulose (NC) decorative lacquer / paint (NC Deco suggests decorative NC lacquer). Nitrocellulose lacquers dry very fast and form a hard, glossy (or semi-gloss) film. 

   • Such NC-deco paints are generally pigmented (i.e., not just clear lacquer) used to color wood surfaces, furniture, decorative woodwork. GCIs NC-paints line, for example, is pigmented. 

2. Color / Shade

4. Application

   • Substrate: Primarily intended for wood (furniture, doors, MDF, plywood) and possibly also metal (depending on product line) GCIs NC paints are used on Wood & Metal. 

   • Method: Most likely applied via spray (common for NC lacquers) GCI explicitly states spray application. 

   • Coats: Usually  coats (common for pigmented NC lacquer) though exact number depends on the opacity and film thickness needed.

5. Storage & Shelf-Life

   • According to GCIs listing, the shelf life is around 1 year when stored properly (tightly closed, away from heat / sunlight). 

   • Store at moderate temperatures (GCI suggests 1530 C). 

6. Safety / Handling

   • Nitrocellulose lacquers are flammable (because of the solvents) standard precautions apply (good ventilation, respiratory protection when spraying).

   • Because of the high solvent content, there may be strong VOCs use in well-ventilated space.
